North Devon Foodfest in Barnstaple – which takes place on Sunday 21st October is a real gastronomic treat for the taste-buds showcasing the best local food businesses from across North Devon, find out more at @northdevonfoodfest.

Halloween Festival – A spooky scary night time visit to the Big Sheep which is a local attraction offering the South Wests biggest and best Halloween Festival the week of Monday 22nd October, ride on the terror train, walk around the darkness of the cornfield, visit the horror farmhouse with many spooky surprises to be had, find out more at @the bigsheep.

Artisan Market in Barnstaple – Over 90 talented artists and makers from across the South West will be gathering on 4th November for one day in Barnstaple’s historic Pannier market to showcase their wares, find out more @devon.pop.ups.

Clovelly Herring Festival – November 18th is the time of year when this historic and very pretty village celebrates the coming of the ‘silver darlings’ otherwise known as the Herring. Boxing Day Barbecue – the barbecue has become synonymous with Christmas at Clovelly. Enjoy a walk on the estate in the morning then come on down to the Red lion on the quay.
